iHome Airplay iW1 finally available on September 26

When Apple first announced Airplay, iHome iW1 was the first Airplay Speaker announced in the lineup and we have been anxiously waiting for this announcement.

Introduced last September, it is finally ready for consumers to wirelessly stream their audio content from Airplay enabled devices.

Powered by a rechargeable lithium-ion battery, the iW1 enables a truly wireless listening experience and employs Bongiovi Acoustics Digital Power Station (DPS) technology and four (4) active speakers for premium audio performance in a compact design. Using AirPlay, users can wirelessly stream music simultaneously from iTunes, iPhone, iPad or iPod touch to multiple AirPlay-equipped iHome speakers over Wi-Fi. AirPlay requires iTunes 10.1 or later and iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with iOS 4.2 or later.

The iHome iW1 will be available on September 26, 2011, with a suggested retail price of $299 USD. At this time we are unable to receive this item for review, but stay tuned. We will do our best to get our hands on one soon.
