Boxee Box updates Browser and adds Movie Trailers with firmware update 1.1

Posted by Jamie Forestell

Boxee Box by D-link has updated the firmware to version 1.1 with a bunch of upgrades and improvements.   The first update was to the Browser.

The browser fully supports HTML5 content, Favorites (Bookmarks & History),  and also adds an OSD (On Screen Display) to let you see what is going on in the background.

Next, Boxee has added movie Trailers which in my opinion is a must.  Under the Movies menu, you will now see an option for Trailers which break include archive trailers as well as Coming Soon, and New Releases.

Some of the other features include, updates to MLB.TV,  more languages, being able to add your own custom artwork,  and even add your own metadata from NFO files!

For full details and list of changes, you can visit the Boxee Blog.  To get the latest firmware, Boxee will be rolling the update but if you just can’t wait, you can visit the Boxee forums.
