HTC about to unveil HTC One X at Mobile World Congress 2012

HTC One X

HTC is about to take the stage at this years Mobile World Congress being held in Barcelona. Earlier this week, Pocketnow reported  a leaked photo of the rumoured HTC One X smartphone. The HTC One X is claimed to have HTC’s first quad-core smartphone, using Nvidia’s Tegra 3 and will launch with ICS and HTC Sense 4.0. The phone should also include LTE, 8MP Camera, a 4.7″ screen, and if this is true, we can’t wait to get our hands on the new One X. The last few devices we reviewed contained audio issues so hopefully this model and others planned for 2012 will be much improved.

HTC has unveiled a few backstage photos from Barcelona on their Facebook page, and claim to be launching something FAST, AUTHENTIC, ICONIC, AMAZING.

HTC press conference is scheduled to begin today at 2:30 PM EST. Stay tuned for more news from #MCW2012. The event is not being live streamed so keep an eye on their Facebook page, and their Youtube channel for information after the announcement.

UPDATE #4 – The HTC One sounds more like a camera with phone capabilities. The HTC One features Image Sense for photo and video processing. Shutter time is just 0.7 seconds! Autofocus in just 0.2 seconds! Super Fast continuous focus will perform as quick as the blink of an eye. Holding the shutter will allow for continuous shooting. HTC realizes low light shooting is difficult and has included an F2.0 lens to allow for more light.

UPDATE #5 – The HTC One will allow for capturing a photo from the video footage by simply tapping the video button. This is a great feature! No need to take photos if video is also important. HTC is also expanding their partnership with DropBox. If you purchase an HTC One device, you will be given 25GB of storage space free for 2 years. You will also be able to share your captured memories to your HDTV via HDMI through HTC Media Link.

UPDATE #6 – A spec sheet and press shot has leaked and reported by FullGSM.  Specs and screen can be found below.

HTC One

The HTC One X is a powerhouse, it’s our first phone to pack a quad-core processor and has an amazing 4.7-inch, 720p HD screen. Of course, all this incredible technology is wrapped in beautiful, iconic design.

The HTC One V brings top-end design to a smartphone with broad appeal, featuring iconic design, amazing camera and authentic sound.

The HTC One S is for those who want a powerful high-end smartphone but in a super sexy form factor: a metal unibody and our thinnest phone yet.
