Apple is set to announce the iPad 2 at 1:00 PM EST. You can join us here for our live blog. We do not expect any major surprises today. What do we expect to see?

  • Steve Jobs attending via Facetime HD
  • iPad 2 to have 1GB RAM, dual core processor, dual camera, lighter, increased battery performance
  • iOS 5 to ship with the iPad 2 in April 2011. This would also have to mean iOS 5 would be available today for iOS developers.
  • no mention of any iPad 3
