Budweiser released a pretty awesome commercial during the Super Bowl for Canadians which we happened to miss as we were watching a US feed. I had to watch the commercial twice to understand fully what was being offered.

Yes hockey fans..this is a real product and it is coming in May 2013 in time for the playoffs.

Budweiser Red Lights are  new authentic-looking portable goal lights embedded with Wifi technology that will sound off whenever a fan’s favourite city scores a goal – making the at home viewing experience bigger and more action-packed for Canadians. Goals will never be the same!

Checking the Budweiser website, the red light works via high speed WiFi connection and can be configured in the Red Lights app available for iPhone and Android devices. The Red Lights can be pre-ordered now at Budweiser.ca for $149 and will come to the Greater Toronto area first. Go Leafs Go.

Happy Hockey Day in Canada! Proud of my hometown Peterborough today and you can bet a large percentage of sales will come from the P Dot.
