Nike+ FuelBand is coming to Canada!

Nike will be introducing their Nike+ FuelBand into the Canadian market this week and I will be attending the event, while giving live updates on www.sportstok.ca.  Since it’s release in the U.S., the FuelBand has been a popular item and one of the most difficult to get a hold of, since Nike released their Nike+ GPS watch.

The Nike+ FuelBand fits on your wrist and tracks your daily activity while converting your every step and movement into NikeFuel. To begin collecting fuel points, you can set daily point goals for yourself and the Nike+ FuelBand will keep track of your progress throughout the day. On the face of the FuelBand, there is a LED display that goes from red to green that indicates your progress and point status throughout the day. You can share your progress and achievements with friends through social media and also through Nike+ FuelBand App, which is available for iOS devices.

What’s really great about this product is it’s ability to motivate people and keep them active in their busy-everyday lives. You can challenge yourself to attain more points and break personal records, reach new milestones, and unlock special achievements. NikeFuel counts all the activities of your athletic life – whether it’s running, walking, dancing, or playing basketball.

It also syncs up with the Nike+ Connect software to provide a motivational web experience. Nike is also pushing it’s mobile apps, and with the Nike+ FuelBand app, users can also view their progress on their mobile device. NikeFuel is calculated the same way for everyone, so no matter your fitness level, everyone is on the same playing field. This concept makes it less discouraging for those who want to become more active and helps keep others motivated by achieving fuel points.
