Apple Store is down once again for updates

Apple Store Down

Well it is that time once again that Apple takes the Apple Store offline to perform system updates. The store will most likely be down for a majority of the day until the keynote has been delivered. Apple will be holding thier annual developer conference starting today running through until June 15 in sunny San Francisco.  Apple is expected to announce several updates and new lines today at their keynote being held at 1PM EST.

According to 9to5mac.com, they have information that Apple could announce the following changes and additions to the Mac Pro and Macbook Pro lineup:

Mac Pro:

  • Normal configuration: 3.2GHz quad-core processor, 6GB of RAM, 1TB hard drive, and the ATI Radeon 5770 graphics chip.
  • Normal configuration: 2.4GHz 12-core processor, 12GB of RAM, 1TB hard drive, and the ATI Radeon 5770 graphics chip.
  • Server configuration: 3.2GHz quad-core processor, 8GB of RAM, Two 1TB hard drives

Macbook Pro:

  • 13.3 inch: 2.5GHz dual core processor, 4GB of RAM, 500GB hard drive
  • 13.3 inch: 2.9GHz dual core processor, 8GB of RAM, 750GB hard drive
  • 15.4 inch: 2.3GHz quad core processor, 4GB of RAM, 500GB hard drive
  • 15.4 inch: 2.6GHz quad core processor, 8GB of RAM, 750GB hard drive (BTO upgrades to 2.7GHz quad core and 1TB HD will be available)

Macbook Air:

  • MD223LL/A – MBA 11.6/1.7/4/64FLASH-USA
  • MD224LL/A – MBA 11.6/1.7/4/128FLASH-USA
  • MD845LL/A – MBAIR 11.6/2.0/8/256FLASH-USA

  • MD846LL/A – MBAIR 13.3/2.0/8/512FLASH-USA

Apple is also expected to unveil iOS 6, Mountain Lion, an updated Apple Airport Express, and a new USB Superdrive as the new Macbook Pro will not include an optical drive.  Some other peripheral and accessories are expected.

In the past Apple, Google, and Research in Motion always play this little game of stealing the others thunder so I expect to hear some possible leaks today from Android or Blackberry! If you have a tip, please send it on up!
