Amazon to ship Kindle Touch 3G a week early

Today Amazon announced the Kindle Touch 3G will start shipping in over 175 countries including Canada, a full week ahead of schedule.

“Orders from customers worldwide for our new line of electronic ink Kindles have exceeded our expectations,” said Dave Limp, vice president, Amazon Kindle. “Kindle Touch 3G is the most full-featured e-reader available with a beautiful, latest-generation electronic ink display, fast page turns and long, two month battery life. We know that customers are eager to get their hands on our newest Kindle which is why we’re delighted to be able to ship several days earlier than we planned.”

The Kindle Touch offers free 3G wireless internet and is available for order at Amazon.ca now for $189.00 and you can expect to add about ten bucks for shipping.
