Posted by Jamie Forestell

Well this is about as official as it gets for us. We received our invitation for the July 14th media event for the Samsung Galaxy S2/S II 4G and we could not be more excited. This is the most anticipated Android smartphone of 2011 so far.

According to MobileSyrup, the Galaxy S 2 will be carried by Bell Canada and may be selling for $169.95 on a 3 year contract. The no-contract price is also targeted at $599.95. Virgin Mobile will be on hand and there is no pricing information available at this time.

Stay tuned for more information! In the meantime, be sure to check out our quick review of the Galaxy S2 here.

  1. Is the Galaxy S II media event still planned for July 14th? I’m asking this because latest rumours suggest a July 21st Galaxy S II Launch. If the event is still planned on July 14th then the latest rumours must be wrong.

  2. On like Donkey Kong! We will try to update you live from the event if we find out any more deets!

  3. I just spoke with a Bell customer service rep on the bell website and they told me the release date was moved to july 21st… Can anyone clarify this discrepancy?
